Bridges to Behavorial Health

Grow Mentoring has partnered with Los Angeles Department of Mental Health and Chief of Psychology, Dr. Jorge Partida, to help recruit, train, and empower the next generation of community health workers! The purpose of Bridges to Behavioral Health mentorship program is to create strong relationships with students in high schools, community colleges, and four-year Universities who are interested in future careers working with children and families in the Behavioral Health system of care.

Students who participate in the Bridges program are able to enjoy strong mentor relationships with MH clinicians with years of advanced experience serving the complex needs of culturally and linguistically diverse children and families. By participating in seminars, MH program tours, and other community events, students will learn the intricacies of county behavioral health work and are guided to successfully apply and onboard for various experiences including volunteering, practicum, internships, peer specialists, and employment.
